Police: Bicyclist in serious condition after Kent Co. hit and run

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are looking for a vehicle that struck a bicyclist in Kent County and then left the scene.

It happened at 1:17 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 36th Street and Broadmoor Avenue in Kentwood. Kentwood police say the bicyclist was traveling westbound on 36th Street and started to cross Broadmoor Avenue. He was then struck by a vehicle driving northbound on Broadmoor. The vehicle continued north on Broadmoor after striking the bicyclist

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with head injuries. He’s listed in serious condition.

Police believe the vehicle is gray in color and has passenger-side damage.
