CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies say a man was killed in a crash that sent three others to the hospital.
It happened at 4:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 32nd Avenue and Sehler Street in Chester Township.
Deputies say a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Roldolfo Castillo of Bailey was traveling northbound on 32nd Avenue when he did not stop for a stop sign. Castillo’s pickup truck struck a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Samantha Tribelett. Both vehicles went off of the roadway, and Castillo’s pickup rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof.
Authoritie’s say Castillo’s front-seat passenger, 24-year-old Hector Aguilar of Bailey, was pronounced dead at the scene. Castillo, Tribelett and Castillo’s rear-seat passenger, 19-year-old Ramon Aguilar, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Tribelett’s passenger, 31-year-old Dustin Wurm of Conklin, was also hospitalized. Hospital officials said he was in fair condition on Sunday.
