Police: Man assaulted with handgun in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police are looking for a suspect who they say assaulted a man with a handgun.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Greentree Blvd.

The victim told police he was at a party when he was assaulted by several people. During the assault, the victim said a man pulled a handgun and struck him on the back of the head.

Police say the victim is in stable condition, and they are still searching for the suspect.
