1 hurt in shooting in SE Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was injured in a shooting on Grand Rapids’ southeast side Monday night.

The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. in the 800 block of Kalamazoo Avenue near Franklin Street SE.

Police say the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time. Police say they don’t have any suspects and the shooting remains under investigation.
