GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) If you are in a situation where you may need the advice of an attorney but don’t think you can afford one, think again. A new non-profit organization called the OWL Resource Group is ready to help.
OWL stands for Outstanding Women Lawyers. The non-profit offers affordable legal services for low to moderate income families. It focuses mostly on Family Law, Landlord Tenant Law, Business Services, Estate Planning, and Mediation, but will take other cases as well. A consultation is free and the hourly rate is on a sliding scale based on case type as well as annual income and household size.
The OWL Resource Group has two Resume Building Seminars coming up. They are free and open to the public. Stop by their office at noon on Monday, October 17 or at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19. They also offer one-on-one seminars by appointment.
