Wyoming police seek family of man hit by car, killed

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Wyoming police are releasing the name of a man who was hit by a car and killed Saturday night in the hopes of finding his next of kin.

He was 32-year-old Marcos Perez-Ramerez, according to the Wyoming Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened around 10:35 p.m. at the intersection of 28th Street and S. Division Avenue. Police say a driver struck Perez-Ramerez when he ran across the road in front of her car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Perez-Ramerez did not have his identification with him at the time of the crash, but they managed to identify him. What they’ve learned since then indicates that both of his parents and a sibling are already dead. They don’t currently have enough information to lead them to any other family members.

Investigators hope that someone may know more about Perez-Ramerez or his family. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 616.530.7300 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
