GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — An Albion man who authorities said sexually abused and exploited seven children is heading to federal prison.

A federal judge sentenced 44-year-old Jeffrey Duane Cox to 240 years in prison for sexual exploitation of children and possession of child pornography. He was also ordered to pay $4,916 in restitution.

Authorities said they found evidence that Cox sexually abused seven children from 2012 to 2014. Cox personally photographed and videotaped to record the child abuse. Investigators said they discovered child pornography on multiple devices in his Albion home.

Earlier this year, a jury convicted Cox of seven counts of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of possession of child pornography.
