BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police say a woman was not injured when she had several shots fired toward her after a dispute over a man.
It happened at 8:05 a.m. Saturday in the area of 230 Riverside Drive. The victim told police that the female suspect took off in a vehicle after firing the shots. The victim, a Battle Creek woman, was able to provide police with a description of the vehicle, as well as the license plate number.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies located the vehicle in the area of Dickman Road and Avenue A. Deputies, along with officers from the Battle Creek Police Department, stopped the vehicle and found two females from Kalamazoo, as well as a firearm and the magazine, inside the car.
The passenger, who owns the gun, was arrested on charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon and felony firearm. Police say the driver is being held on separate charges.
