CHASSELL, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State Police have recovered the body of a child and an adult from Lake Superior and have located the body of another adult in an area where three boaters were reported missing two weeks ago.

Sgt. Dana McKee says authorities have not confirmed the identities of those whose bodies were recovered Saturday from Keweenaw Bay, which is off the coast of the Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. McKee says few details were immediately available because the recovery effort is ongoing.

McKee says the body of a third person has been located in 280 feet of water and that divers plan to try to recover it Sunday.

The bodies were found in an area where two adults and a 9-year-old boy from Michigan reportedly went missing two weeks ago when they didn’t return from a fishing trip.
