GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – It might just be the beginning of fall, but the holiday season is near approaching.
WOOD TV8 is again teaming up with the Salvation Army to bring to West Michigan Angel Tree, a toy drive looking to bring happier holidays to children whose families cannot afford to buy gifts.
This week kicks of the search for sites to set up Angel Tree drop-off locations.
Interested businesses, churches, schools, and other organizations can sign up to be an Angel Tree drop-off location here.
Then from November11th to December 19th, there will be a Christmas tree at each location decorated with tags representing children who may not receive any gifts this Christmas.
Participants can take this tags and return to the site with an unwrapped gift corresponding to the tag.
Last year, donations from the community helped thousands of children have happy holidays.
The sign-up deadline is October 31st. Help us make the holiday season special to those who are in need.
