Motorcyclist seriously injured in NW GR crash

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Grand Rapids’ northwest side.

The crash happened near Bridge Street and Marcella Avenue NW around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a motorcycle traveling westbound on Bridge Street crossed the center line and hit a curb before crashing into some trees.

The 30-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital for serious injuries.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
