GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD): It’s a fresh start to a new season at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center. They’re kicking off the new season with the return of rock legends, The Hit Men featuring their brand new show. they’re adding some sparkle to the holiday season with the family musical, Miracle on 34th Street. Then, the New Year opens with the fabulous musical comedy Pump Boys and Dinettes, followed by the Freddy Cole Quartet celebrating the music of his brother, Nat “King” Cole, and niece, Natalie. Star War fans will have a great time at The One Man Star Wars Trilogy, a hilarious parody on one of the most popular films of all time, and then the Van Singel concludes the season with the ever popular Cool Jazz.

MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET

Miracle on 34th Street, a musical based on a favorite holiday tale by Valentine Davies and made famous by the 1947 movie of the same name fills the Van Singel stage for two performances on Saturday, December 17. Kris Kringle fills in for Santa Claus in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the store on 34th Street. Kringle subsequently causes an uproar when he sends Macy’s customers to a rival store for better deals. But, when he claims he is the real Santa Claus, Kringle is forced to go on trial to defend his own sanity! Will he be able to prove he is who he claims
PUMP BOYS AND DINES

Those filling-station attendants with farmer tans and those waitresses with hot pots of java will make harmony when the Tony Award-nominated, country-and-pop-flavored musical Pump Boys and Dinettes routes its way into the Van Singel Fine Arts Center on Thursday, January 26th at 7:30 pm. It’s a fun evening of country western songs that received unanimous raves on and off-Broadway. With heartbreak and hilarity, the group perform on guitars, piano, bass and, kitchen utensils.

Mallory attended Byron Center Public Schools as a young girl and is a graduate of Cornerstone University. All shows are reserved seating. Van Singel ticket patrons can design their own season and save from 5% to 15% off the cost of a full price ticket depending on the number of shows purchased:
- 5% discount when you purchase 3 shows
- 10% discount when you purchase 4-5 shows
- 15% discount when you purchase 6-7 shows
Groups also receive ticket discounts depending on the number of tickets purchased per performance.
- 5% discount with a purchase of 10-19 tickets
- 10% discount with a purchase of 20-49 tickets
- 15% discount with a purchase of 50 tickets or more
Patrons who order three or more shows can choose the three-payment plan if tickets are ordered by August 31st – an easy way to pay for a full year of entertainment with three equal monthly payments will automatically be charged to a credit card.
