Deputies seek Subway armed robbery suspect

The Kent County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest in an armed robbery at an Alpine Township Subway on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016.

ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Kent County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help locating a man who held up a Subway at gunpoint Saturday.

The suspect walked into the Subway, located at 5301 Alpine Avenue NW in Alpine Township, around 5 p.m. armed with a black handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Deputies describes the suspect as man around 5-foot-8. He was last seen wearing black pants with white striping near the knees, a black sweatshirt and a white mask. He is believed to have left the scene in a white four-door sedan.
