Police investigate robbery on GVSU’s Allendale campus

ALLENDALE, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating after a person was robbed on Grand Valley State University’s Allendale campus.

The victim told police they were walking west of the baseball fields toward West Campus Drive around 7 p.m. Saturday when a man approached and assaulted the victim, demanding the victim’s wallet.

After the victim gave up their wallet, a second suspect allegedly appeared and took the victim’s cash.

The victim says both men then ran northwest toward the football stadium.

The robbery was reported to the Grand Valley Police Department around 9 p.m. Sunday.

The first suspect is described as a black man, about 6 feet 2 inches tall with an athletic build, wearing a blue Grand Valley T-shirt and jeans. The second suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a muscular build.
