Holland PD: Man stabbed in neck; suspect arrested

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — A 48-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck, according to the Holland Police Department.

Police say they received a call just after 8 p.m. Wednesday that someone may have been stabbed in the area of 16th Street and Central Avenue.

Around 20 minutes later, authorities said they followed a blood trail and found the victim about three blocks away with a wound to the neck.

The victim is a 55-year-old Holland man who is currently in stable condition. He has been taken to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids to undergo surgery.

The suspect, a 48-year-old Holland man, is in custody.

The circumstances leading up to the stabbing are unknown at this time.
