Drone deployed in search for missing W. MI woman

PENN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is turning to community members for tips in locating a missing West Michigan woman.

Investigators say Ramona June Huffman was last seen around 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, leaving her home in Vandalia to walk to a gas station around the corner.

Authorities say her family searched for her for several hours before filing a missing person report with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Huffman, 48, has health issues and does not have her medication with her.

Authorities deployed a drone to search for her. K-9’s and additional patrol vehicles were called in to help track her down, to no avail.

Huffman was last seen wearing gray pants, a black T-shirt and a peach colored zippered sweat shirt. She has brown hair, blue eyes and is approximately 5-foot 6-inches tall and 175 pounds.
