Kentwood PD: Shots fired across Breton Road; no arrests made

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Kentwood police are searching for a suspect who fired shots across a busy road.

It happened just before 1 p.m. Friday in the 4500 block of Breton Road SE, just south of 44th Street, near Horrocks Market.

Witnesses told police a bicyclist riding south on the east side of Breton Road pulled out a handgun and fired several shots in the direction of a pedestrian walking south on the sidewalk across the road.

Police say the suspect and intended victim both fled the area and officers couldn’t locate them. No drivers were reportedly injured in the incident.
