LAKETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Allegan County Thursday night.
Michigan State Police were called to the crash on 62nd Street and 146th Avenue, south of Holland, in Laketown Township around 9:15 p.m.
Local residents were assisting both drivers who were severely injured when troopers arrived on scene.
One of the drivers was trapped in the car and had to be cut out by firefighters.
Both drivers were taken to Holland Hospital for treatment. Police say at least one of the drivers was then transported to Grand Rapids because of the severity of their injuries.
Alcohol does appear to be a factor in the crash, according to Michigan State Police. The crash remains under investigation.
