Police seek suspect in Walker gas station armed robbery

WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at a gas station in Walker Monday morning.

The robbery happened at the Marathon gas station at the corner of Lake Michigan Drive and Wilson Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

Police say the man was armed with a handgun and stole money from the store’s cash register before running away in the westbound direction.

A K-9 unit was brought in, but was unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5-feet 10-inches tall, and a medium build. He was wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans, a blue baseball hat and sunglasses.
