GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Haven man police say sexually touched a woman on Grand Haven’s boardwalk has been formally charged.

Patrick Russell Alber, 36, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection to the March 7 incident.

A woman said she was approached and groped by a man while walking on the boardwalk. The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety said its investigation led to Alber, after other women said they were approached by a man with a similar description.

If convicted, Alber could face up to two years in prison. He remains free on a $250 bond.
