Missing Allegan Co. teen found safe

GUN PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Allegan County sheriff’s deputies say a teen who was reported missing has been located and is safe.

Deputies say Friday saying 14-year-old Ethan Alexander Howard was found at 7:15 a.m. Friday in Barry County on M-37. He is being seen by first responders to check his condition, but authorities say he appears to be doing well.

Howard left his home in the area of 10th Street and 106th Avenue in Gun Plain Township at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The teen, who suffers from mild Asperger Syndrome, had left on his bicycle.

Deputies say Howard’s family has been notified and is on their way to pick him up.

Allegan County deputies also thanked the public for their assistance.
