BCPD searching for suspect in pizzeria robbery

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police are searching for a man they say robbed a pizzeria.

It happened around 8:50 p.m. Friday at Happy’s Pizza at 1180 W Columbia Avenue.

Police say the suspect entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. He then took off on foot.

A K-9 unit was brought to the scene, but was unable to track the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing camouflage pants, a tan jacket and a red bandanna. He also had tattoos on his neck.
