GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital, and say no one is in custody.
Police were called around 5 a.m. Saturday to a private club in the 900 block of Fulton Street. When police arrived on scene, they found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers also found a 36-year-old woman who had been shot in the upper torso at a nearby gas station. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told officers that a third person had been shot but fled the scene before police arrived. A K-9 unit searched the area for the third person, but was unsuccessful.
The shooting is believed to be connected to a dispute at a nearby motorcycle club.
Authorities do not have a description of any possible suspects.
