WOODLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say a Lansing woman was killed when her vehicle left the road and struck a tree in Barry County.

The single vehicle crash happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday on M-66 south of Davenport Road in Woodland Township, according to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office.

Heather R. Moore, 35, was the only one in the vehicle when the crash occurred and had to be cut out of the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office says Moore was then flown to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids where she later died.
