PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says a shooting investigation led them to a large stash of stolen valuables.

Around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to the 22000 block of East Avenue North in Pennfield Township, north of Battle Creek for shots fired.

While at the scene, authorities recovered approximately 100 stolen items, including a motorcycle, ATV, riding lawnmowers, two car hauler trailers, generators, push mowers and power tools.

Both the shooting and thefts are under investigation. It’s unclear if anyone has been arrested in either case.
