KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Undefeated and ranked No. 20, there is speculation that Western Michigan could appear in a bowl game.

For that to happen, they would need to win out and somebody to beat Boise State.

In bowl game predictions released Wednesday, USA Today put the Broncos in the Dollar General Bowl versus Troy.

Head coach P.J. Fleck says the bowl talk is speculation, but he welcomes the conversation.

“I think that’s awesome. You should have the ability and the right to talk about those things here in Kalamazoo. I want you to. That’s the point of this culture, to create that excitement and that energy and that culture to do it,” he said. “But within our walls, including me, we take one game at a time and we’re looking at Ball State and Ball State only.”

That’s who Western Michigan plays Tuesday in Muncie, Ind.
