BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A bicyclist was struck by a van in Byron Township Monday morning.

The crash happened around 7:20 a.m. near the intersection of Division and 92nd Street.

Deputies say the driver of a van traveling northbound on Division didn’t see the bicyclist until just before the crash. The driver tried to swerve but the van’s mirror hit the 20-year-old bicyclist.

Deputies say the bicycle didn’t have reflectors.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
