American Heart Association encouraging people to ‘Be Colorful’

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOOD) – National Eating Healthy Day is Wednesday, November 2nd, and as the American Heart Association’s new color campaign emphasizes, it’s important to BE COLORFUL. On this iconic day, and throughout the entire month of November, the association wants to remind residents that by adding more color to meals through fruits and vegetables, people can take simple yet significant steps to a more vibrant, healthier, longer life. Priority Health and the American Heart Association joined eightWest in studio with a very colorful table! Check out the video above to see how many servings of fruits and veggies you should be eating and some other diet do’s and don’ts. American Heart Association has a whole guide to eating healthy on their website.

Another fun event that’s right around the corner is the Heart Ball on December 2nd at DeVos Place. Raise awareness and give back in style!
