GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A third suspect wanted in connection to two reports of shots fired over the weekend was arrested in Grand Rapids Tuesday.
Police spotted the suspect driving on the city’s northwest side and stopped his vehicle. However, the driver ran from the scene.
A K-9 unit was called and tracked the suspect to the backyard of a house in the 1000 block of Hamilton Avenue where he was arrested without incident.
Officers said Tuesday afternoon that the 22-year-old man was being questioned but had not been charged.
The suspect was wanted in connection to two reports of shots fired in the Black Hills neighborhood Saturday. Later that day, two people were arrested on the ramp from northbound US-131 to Pearl Street, but the third suspect was able to get away before police arrived on scene.
No one was reported injured in Saturday’s shootings.
