3 arrested after report of knife chase

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were arrested Thursday after police received a report of a person chasing several people with a knife in South Haven.

Police received the call around 2:30 p.m. of the incident in the area of Kalamazoo and Edgell Streets, according to a news release from the South Haven Police Department.

When police arrived, there was nobody at the scene. Police then searched the area and found three people hiding behind a house on Edgell Street. The three suspects — all from South Haven –ran from police and were arrested.

An 18-year-old woman, 19-year-old man and 22-year-old man are facing resisting and obstructing, and unarmed robbery charges. The 19-year-old man will also face a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
