Teen killed in Kzoo bicycle crash involving bus

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo officers are investigating a bicycle-bus crash that killed a teenager.

The crash happened around 12:34 p.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of S. Burdick Street.

Public safety officers found 17-year-old Kendall Dontrel Savon Jackson lying in the roadway, unresponsive. They tried to revive him, but he died from his injuries.

Witnesses told officers the bicyclist was riding down a hill on Millview Avenue and didn’t stop at a stop sign, crashing into the side of a Metro Transit bus.
