Child, 6, injured in possible car accident

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A 6-year-old is in critical condition Saturday after a possible car accident.

It happened around 8 p.m. in the 1300 block of March Street in Kalamazoo.

Police say the driver, a 26-year-old woman, was trying to leave the house when the child try to enter the car on the passenger side.

It’s unknown how the child was injured. The child was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

The incident is under investigation.
