Passenger killed in Walker crash

WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — A person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Walker.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Alpine Avenue and Kingsbury Street NW.

Walker police say a southbound vehicle turned left in front of a northbound vehicle. A passenger needed to extracted from one of the vehicles.

The passenger was taken to Spectrum Butterworth where they later died from their injuries, according to police. Their name has not yet been released pending family notification.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
