GRATTAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say a Greenville man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Kent County Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Lincoln Lake Road and 6 Mile Road NE, east of Cannonsburg, around 5:50 a.m.

Kent County sheriff’s deputies said 58-year-old David Arthur Cliff of Greenville was driving south on Lincoln Lake Road when he was struck by an SUV that failed to yield the right of way at the intersection. Cliff was killed in the crash.

Deputies on scene initially said the car was heading east and the SUV was traveling south when the crash happened, but as the sun came up they were able to correct their preliminary report.

The driver of the SUV, a 2006 Saab 97X, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
