ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Ada Township’s fire chief will be returning to his job after being placed on paid administrative leave.

The investigation by the township’s legal counsel found Chief David Murray did not engage in any illegal activity and conducted himself appropriately.

Township officials did not release details about the nature of the investigation, but said he was placed on administrative leave after receiving “a complaint from another employee containing numerous and potentially significant allegations about Chief Murray’s conduct and performance.”

Murray will be back at work on Monday.
