GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This holiday season, WOOD TV8 is again teaming up with the Salvation Army to provide toys and happier holidays to children who otherwise may get no gifts.
From Nov. 11 to Dec. 19, Christmas trees decorated with tags representing individual children in need will be set up at volunteer locations at various businesses, churches, schools and other organizations. Find one of our many Angel Tree locations here.
Participants can visit one of these Angel Tree sites and pick up a tag. They then can return to the site with a gift corresponding to the tag. Last year’s drive helped provide happy holidays to thousands of children.
Every child deserves to have a joyful Christmas. Learn how you can be a part of making a child’s holiday season brighter.
Friday is also the kick off of the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. The Red Kettles help raise fund for the Salvation Army’s year-round services. Red Kettles will be out around West Michigan from now until the new year.
