Police searching for suspect in Wyoming armed robbery

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say one man is in custody and they are searching for a second after an early-morning armed robbery.

It happened at 2 a.m. Saturday in the area of 36th Street and Raven Avenue SW.

Wyoming police say the two suspects robbed the victim at knifepoint. They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and other belongings.

A K-9 unit was brought in to track the suspect. The K-9 was able to flush one suspect out of several yards. That suspect was then taken into custody.

Police continue to search for the second suspect, described as a tall, skinny black male, approximately 20-years-old. Authorities believe the suspects and victim may have known each other.
