KDPS seeks suspects in assault near WMU’s campus

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo police are searching for the suspects who they say injured three people during an assault.

It happened on Oct. 30 at 1:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of Knollwood Avenue, according to a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety news release.

Two of the victims required stitches and one will require more medical procedures as a result of the incident, the release said.

Police say there were around 200 to 300 people in the area during the assault, but no one was able to identify any of the suspects.

During the investigation, police found video of the assault and were able to get a photo of one of the suspects — a black man with a beard.
