GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Santa made an early stop in West Michigan Saturday as the Art Van Santa Parade returned to downtown Grand Rapids.
>>Storm Team 8: Weekend forecast
This year’s grand marshal was Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss. Nashville singer/songwriter Jacob Davis will also take part in the event, themed ‘Christmas fun for everyone!’
The parade starts at the corner of Michigan Street and Monroe Avenue NW and marches past DeVos Place, the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and the live broadcast area at Rosa Parks Circle. The parade will continue down Monroe Avenue NW, ending near Charley’s Crab at Fulton Street.
Keep an eye out for WOOD TV8’s entry. Some familiar faces will be walking alongside our giant cold air balloon, dubbed “The Candy Castle.”
After the parade, families were able to walk to Rosa Parks Circle to get complimentary photos with Santa.
