GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A children’s shoe sold only at Meijer is being recalled.

Skidders Footwear is recalling about 5,500 of the canvas tennis shoes because of rivets with sharp edges that may cause lacerations. There have been three reports of scratches, but no reports of serious injuries.

The shoes were sold in sizes 12M, 18M and 24M and come in navy blue with orange rivets and laces, gray with green rivets and laces, and denim with pink rivets and laces. They were for sale between August and October.

People who bought the shoes can return them to Skidders for a refund. Consumers can call Skidders toll free at 866.636.1221 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or go to Skidders’ website for more information.
