Police: Pedestrian injured in BC hit-and-run

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police are searching for a driver they say struck a pedestrian and took off.

It happened at 7:21 p.m. Friday in the area of W Jackson and N 20th Streets.

Police say when they arrived on-scene, they found a man lying on the side of the road.

Investigators say he was struck by a light blue, 2001 to 2007 Chrysler Town & Country or Dodge Caravan. The vehicle will have passenger side and partial front end damage, according to Battle Creek police.

The 45-year-old man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
