Man killed after vehicle hits tree in Kzoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo police say a man was killed Sunday night when he left the road and struck a tree.

It happened around 8 p.m. on Park Street near Maple Street, according to a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety news release.

Police say the pickup was heading northbound on Park Street near Crane Park when it left the road, onto the median and struck a tree.

The driver, 37-year-old Joshua Anderson Locke of Kalamazoo, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It appears speed may have been a factor in the crash, according to the news release.
