GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) –- Grandville High School’s new twist to the Mannequin Challenge is taking over Facebook.

Teacher Terry Blevins and his AV students recorded the 2016 Grandville High School Mannedub Challenge Monday. It’s been watched more than 121,000 times and shared more than 2,000 times on Facebook since the district posted the video on its page Tuesday.

The 9 minute and 30 second recording starts with a bird’s-eye view of Grandville High School, taking viewers into the building where hundreds of students, parents, athletes and fans are frozen mid-pose.

Half-way through the video, students begin lip syncing to the 1980s hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship, weaving through the crowds of frozen people.

The video starts and ends with “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd, which the district said is the official song of the Mannequin Challenge.
