GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — There is a new speaker of the House in Lansing.
Rep. Tom Leonard, R-DeWitt, will take over in January and said he has plans to bring lawmakers together.
“First it’s about reaching out and communication,” he said. “But secondly it’s about a ‘c-word’ that I don’t hear us talk about enough — and it’s not compromise. Compromise is a good word and certainly something that we need to have but the ‘c-word’ we need to talk more about is civility.”
