Inside First and Main: married couple of 60 years shares personal story

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – As we age, the needs we have for our living spaces change… especially as we reach our senior years!

Not only are we talking about down-sizing to get a more comfortable space, but sometimes medical issues have us looking for more support throughout our living arrangements – whether through assisted living or even full nursing care.

There is a facility in the Grand Rapids area that combines a beautiful, up-scale living environment with supportive care. We’re taking you to First and Main, and sharing the personal story of a West Michigan couple who have been married for 60-years!

>>> Take a look in the video above.

First and Main will celebrate 2-years of being open next month. It’s a unique arrangement, as there is no long-term commitment, no lease, and no need to purchase a unit.  First and Main is a “month-to-month” opportunity for seniors.

And, everything is included… including the food. The food service is “order off a menu”, and the Executive Chef is a former chef at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel!

The team at First and Main will also help residents qualify for their VA Benefits. There are support dollars available for veterans and widowed spouses.

First and Main is located in the Metro Health Village – M6 at the Byron Center interchange. Stop by for a tour!
