Great Lakes Water Levels

<–click the image to enlarge.  The water level of Lake Superior rose 3″ in the past month.  Since each inch of water represents 554 billion gallons of water, that means that we have added 1.662 trillion gallons of water in just 31 days.  Lake Superior is now 2″ above the water level of Sept. 2008, but remains 4″ inches below the century average level.   Lake Michigan has fallen one inch in the last month, but remains 10″ above the level of one year ago.  That’s a healthy increase and leaves the lake only 4″ below the century average.  …
