Pic. up top from Dan Voss and the No. Indiana NWS shows a truck tipped by strong winds at the Fort Wayne IN airport, where a gust to 55 mph was recorded. Other severe reports so far: 1.5″ diameter hail near Three Rivers, 1″ hail at Leroy, nickel-sized hail at Pine Creek and pea-sized hail at Burlington (all three of those in Calhoun Co.) and pea-sized hail at Vicksburg in Kalamazoo County. Penny-sized hail fell at Albion and 1/2″ hail at Jackson.
Here’s 1-inch diameter hail that fell this morning in Blanchard near Mt. Pleasant (from Heather Quackenbush). We had numerous reports of small hail from last night’s storms, along with wind gusts as high as 65 mph at Big Sable Point
Rainfall since midnight: 0.95″ Lansing, 0.88″ Holland (4.19″ for the month), 0.79″ Muskegon, 0.73″ for the month (4.04″ for the month), 0.51″ Battle Creek, 0.43″ Kalamazoo.
